Characteristics of trauma care during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands; a level 1 trauma multicentre cohort study
During the COVID-19 pandemic usual planned surgical care has been reduced to (semi-)urgent surgery due to the lack of functional hospital capacity. Previous reports have demonstrated a substantial reduction in total ED admission during the peak of previous pandemics (SARS pandemic in 2005). However traumatic injuries will continue to exist due to simple falls, accidents, domestic violence and escalation of psychiatric disorders. Currently, it is unclear to what extent this reduction also accounts for traumatic injuries. Furthermore, it is unclear what the clinical characteristics and injury patterns of these patients are. Understanding the burden of disease of trauma patients is important in order to optimize the use of hospital capacity, health care planning in future outbreaks and therefore indirectly optimize outcome for trauma patients. Randomized controlled trial. In this trial, the BCG vaccine will be used in hospital healthcare workers during the epidemics to prevent infection and/or reduce severity with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The risk of the BCG vaccine is very low and minor local side effects (redness, local pain) are common. The benefits of BCG vaccination based on earlier clinical studies are expected. We aim to find a reduction in days of unplanned absenteeism. We will explore secondary outcomes related to infection with SARS-CoV-2 virus. Covid-19 pandemicCALiFeRationale

Objectives: To determine if patients with asthma experience a worsened quality of life and are more prone to anxiety during a pandemic.
Study design: It is a cross-sectional survey study comparing asthma-related quality of life, self-mastery, and anxiety development in patients with asthma before and during the pandemic.
Study population: Aim to enroll 100 asthma patients and 25 healthy controls, including those enrolled in previous studies and agreeing to participate. Asthma
